PSALM 25:1

Unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul."

A glimpse of our day...

Here's what Jace learned today...

The only line I did was the very first purple one to show her what to do.  I think she did an excellent job tracing lines.
She also learned about squares and had the BEST time glueing these squares onto her construction paper.
She had a BLAST making her bean square :)

Rory's mission today was to FEED HERSELF...
Mommy gave in finally to her stubborn desire to wield the spoon...
She did an EXCELLENT job her first time feeding herself with a spoon.
Jace also got to fingerpaint today after she (didn't) eat lunch... and Rory was wearing most of her mashed potatoes SOOO a fun bath followed lunchtime.  YAAAY!  They were both EXTREMELY excited... they LOVE bath time!

The afternoon was a little mundane since I had to take the Roar back to the Dr...
the verdict:  double ear infections :(
And a little ABC and 123 action after dinner...

Just a little glimpse of our day today... hope you enjoyed!

Psalm 150: 1,6

"Praise the Lord.  Let everything that breathes praise the Lord."

Sick

Yes, sick.....  this is what we have been doing for the past week.  And really nothing else...  First Jace, then Roar, on to Trey and now, unfortunately, it is my turn...  maybe there will be better posts in the future...

Shorts in January

The weather has been a little crazy around here.... thus the shorts in the middle of winter.

One of few moments lately that the girls play sweetly together... Jace has developed a habit of taking whatever Rory is playing with away from her.  I'm sure it is a stage...

Look how tiny Rory looks :)

Christmas morning

I wasn't too remiss in my picture taking this morning!  Thought I would post the ones I took for everyone to see how the girls' Christmas morning went :)

Gigi's visit

Gigi came from CA for Christmas for a few days!  The kids were in heaven :)  Hopefully, maybe, she will be able to work out her schedule to where she will be able to come home more often than twice a year!  Here are a few pics.....  I really need to get better about taking MORE pics!  And I never could get the 3 kids to cooperate for a pic but I did get a few of them separately with her that turned out cute!
Gigi and the "Roar"

Jace cheesing it up for the camera for me!  a rare event these days... she likes to cover her face when I take her picture now!
Gigi and the boy - Kai!

Gigi & Jace

Mickey Mouse

Here are my beautiful girls' wearing their micky / minnie dresses that Jerica made for them to wear to Playhouse Disney Live!!!  I, of course, forgot to take pics while we were there :)  But it was fantastic!  Trey and I were able to take Jace by herself (Bic babysat the Roar- thank you Bic), and it was neat to be able to spend some quality one on one time with her.  And she was FASCINATED!  She literally sat there in awe for the whole hour and half!  We were sitting next to Jerica and family... I thought that would be fun for Jace to have her friend, Isabella, there because she loves her so, but Jace was entirely single minded over the program!  LOL  I think if we were to go someplace like this again when she is older she will LOVE having a friend with her!  But, it was great to do something like this with her!  And she had so much fun she fell asleep within 5 minutes in the car afterwards, which is an accomplishment because she DOES NOT sleep in the car anymore and hasn't for over a year now!

1 Peter 1:13

"Prepare your minds for action.  Control your emotions and fix your hopes completely on the grace that you will be granted at the revelation of Jesus Christ."

I read many things that cause me to reflect.  Sometimes I sit here and say to myself, "If I could only be so eloquent in my words..."  But the truth is, I LIKE reading other people's thoughts.  I enjoy surrendering myself in the beauty of words, thoughts, and ideas.  And if, at this stage in my life, I can only achieve that in the words of other people and not my own, then I am okay with that.  For now, I will just revel in the beauty that I read, or hear, or see.  And hopefully share, here.
"Unforgiveness causes all sorts of problems and is considered the biggest block to healing.  We hurt ourselves by keeping the wound open."
